2008 Every weekend in March the local Giro series of races took place, all in 20 degree weather! The "A" category featured aspiring 19 year old pros and former national age group podium finishers. Mark had good early season form, finishing 6th, from a field of 20-25 riders, in the opening "A" race of the year. He finished in the top 10 in all the weekend races with a final standing of 9th place overall. Greg Brett raced in two of the races, finishing 9th in one and having a mechanical 200 meters from the finish in the other, also showing very good early season form. 2007 Mark McCarthy: 1st: N.Y.S. Danny Waingarten: First ever races at the age of 58! Included GVCC, Giro's, and USCF sanctioned races. KOM of Furman Ride (tough Wed. night group ride)
Doug Wabnitz: Many top 10 finishes in the Thursday night GVCC Races, Cat 4 Numerous USCF sanctioned races
Dave Seconi: Knee surgery and a very bad crash hampered his 2007 season Enters 55+ in 2008 and will be rookie, as has never raced! Will turn in some surprising results to those who don't know him.
